| The entrance off of 29 is at the bottom right. The entrance road cuts through the Carry Sanctuary. The large buildings near the center are the Inn and Conference Center. Constitution Oaks Sanctuary is behind and to the right of this, extending to Elijah Road near the top of the photograph. View from the east, looking west. |
Paul Mountain viewed from the southeast. The College owns most of the forest to the ridgeline. Visible in the left foreground is Monument Hill (and water towers). Right foreground is the Green Barn on the Dairy Loop, with Big Oaks Sanctuary to its north. The road visible from bottom left to upper right is SR 663 (Smoky Hollow). |

| This old-growth sanctuary is located between Guion Science Center (at top of photo), Boathouse Road, and the upper lake. Note its small size and complete isolation from other forested areas. The X at the top right is the Butterfly Research Garden. The Guion Pond Woodland Garden is at the top left of the sanctuary. View is from the north, looking south. |
Part of Kentucky Ridge, viewed from the southwest. Approximate college boundaries are indicated. More than 100 acres of loblolly pine stands flank both sides of SR 663; recently cleared as well as mature stands ore visible. The hardwoods on Kentucky Ridge were heavily timbered in 1994; logging roads are visible. The curving road extending left from 663 within the college boundry is an old CCC road. It continues around Kentucky Ridge and west of Paul Mountain. |
