| Aerial photograph of Sweet Briar. The 50 field sites for the bird surveys are indicated by the colored circles. The property was divided into five equal areas, and 10 sites were randomly selected in each. Constraints were placed on the minimum distance between sites and on habitat types. The green lines indicate major trails; the thin red lines indicate campus roads. |
